At the Creative Abilities Parents’ Forum in July 2014, Leny Advincula was presented with the Matthew Emanuel Memorial Award, for Outstanding Service. Leny was chosen for this award because of her heart of gold. Leny is passionate and vibrant in her work. Her outstanding leadership and consistent willingness to go above and beyond in client care is true commitment.

Knights Road always has a great atmosphere and plenty of communication between Leny and the client and their parents. Leny is always badgering and lobbying for the residents and the house, and always does it with a smile.

The award was presented to Leny by Matthew’s parents, Hilary and David Emanuel, along with Liz Soper (photo above). This award is presented annually to an outstanding team member and is in loving memory of a dear client Matthew Emanuel, “The Teacher of Many Skills”, 7 September 1975 – 7 August 2012 (pictured right).


Ehlar Collins received a Special Recognition Award because she is always willing to take on the difficult roles which others would steer away from. She has a wonderful sense of humour and a truly generous, sharing nature. She is committed to the team and clients alike, going the extra mile and providing an extra ordinary experience to them and their families.
