Care Coach (Role Overview)
Type: Full-time, Permanent [or Part-time, Permanent]
Hours: Minimum 30 [Full Time] and Part-time [15 & 5] hours per week (additional hours available)
Location: North Shore, Auckland
Pay Rate Full Time: $26.16–$28.25 per hour
Pay Rate Casual, Student, Part time: $23.15–$28.25 per hour
About the Role
As a Care Coach, your role is more than just care — it’s about connection. You'll champion inclusive communities, living our values of Care. With Heart. every day.
Each day, you’ll be part of a team that scaffolds individuals with physical and/or intellectual disabilities to live life their way. This includes:
Supporting all aspects of daily life
Building routines and working toward personal goals
Assisting with meal preparation and personal care
Facilitating and supporting daily outings and community-based activities
Key Responsibilities
Deliver wrap-around, individualised care
Promote & facilitate independence and community engagement
Follow and contribute to personal care plans
Uphold Creative Abilities' values and standards
Be a inclusive, supportive and reliable team member
Students Applicants
We understand your availability may vary. Here's what we ask:
Student roles (5-hour min contracts): Commit to 1 weekly shift (8–12 hrs, usually weekends) or 2 short evening shifts (week days e.g. 5pm - 9pm)
What You’ll Need to Apply
To be considered for any position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Compassionate and values-aligned approach
NZ Working Rights
Level 3 or above NZQA-recognised qualification in Health and Wellbeing (for Full-Time position only)
NZ Driver’s Licence & willingness to drive preferred (working towards with learner or restricted considered)
Complete a NZ Police Check
Roster Expectations [Full Time]
Awake night shifts
Sleepover shifts
Availability for both weekdays and weekends (Rosters are set for 12-week periods to allow for advanced planning)
Flexibility and reliability are essential to meeting the needs of those we support.
