Live It. Feel it. Care to Live it.
Summer 2026 Grant Terms & Conditions
Purpose
The purpose of the Liz Soper Foundation of Care Enriching Life Experience Awards is to enable individuals living with disabilities — who have care and support needs — to enjoy recreational opportunities and enriching life experiences that are often out of reach due to personal or financial barriers.
The Summer 2026 “Live it. Feel it. Care to Live it.” campaign celebrates inclusion, adventure, and the joy of living life to its fullest — supporting experiences that make memories, build confidence, and inspire connection.
Eligibility
Recipients of a Liz Soper Foundation of Care Award must be:
New Zealand citizens or permanent residents residing in New Zealand.
Persons living with disabilities who require care and/or support to participate in extracurricular activities or recreational experiences.
Aged 18 years or older at the time the application is submitted.
The recipient of an award may or may not be the applicant (for example, a family member or support person may apply on their behalf).
Award Scope
Awards are for entry tickets or experiences only, for the recipient and one nominated support companion (where applicable).
Note: A support companion can be a friend or family member — they do not have to be a paid support worker.
All other associated costs are determined by each individual award’s stipulations. Please ensure you are fully aware of what is and is not covered. Unless stated otherwise, assume additional costs are not covered. Covered costs relating to transport, care and support payments, or event spending money, will be specified in the award.
In cases where a cash contribution or voucher is provided in advance to assist with an experience (e.g., transport, food, or merchandise), full receipts must be submitted within 14 days of the experience date.
Where receipts are not provided, the full amount must be reimbursed to the Foundation.
Media & Consent
By submitting an application, the applicant, recipient, and their support person consent to the use of names, photographs, and general stories for the Liz Soper Foundation of Care and Creative Abilities’ social media, website, and promotional materials — unless a written exemption is agreed prior to award acceptance.
Each recipient (or their nominated support person) must provide photos and a short summary of the experience within two weeks of completion.
Application Process
Applications can be completed by the individual or by someone applying on their behalf.
Applications must be received by the advertised closing date.
An on-screen acknowledgment will appear once your form has been successfully submitted.
Applications will be reviewed after the closing date, and all applicants will be notified of the outcome within 14 working days.
The Foundation’s decision is final.
